An Open Air Museum and Posed Portraits
Una serie di foto fatte l’anno scorso a Gravellona Lomellina (PV), un piccolo paese in cui è stato creato un museo all’aria aperta con riproduzioni giganti di quadri dell’Ottocento sui muri e singolari sculture e opere contemporanee disseminate per le strade. Ho scattato alcuni ritratti in posa in occasione della partecipazione al Lensculture Portrait Awards 2016.
A series of pictures taken last year in Gravellona Lomellina (PV), a small town where an open-air museum has been created with huge reproductions of nineteenth century paintings on the walls and unique sculptures and contemporary works scattered around the streets. I took some posed portraits on the occasion of the Lensculture Portrait Awards 2016.

Alcune foto fatte all’Hotel Bristol di Genova, bellissimo hotel in stile Liberty noto per la splendida scalinata ovale che si dice sia stata di ispirazione ad Hitchcock, più volte ospite dell’hotel, per il suo film “Vertigo”.
Some photos taken at the Hotel Bristol in Genoa, beautiful Art Nouveau style hotel known for the oval staircase that is said to have been of inspiration to Hitchcock, often guest in the hotel, for his movie “Vertigo”.

The Lost City of Consonno
Qualche foto fatta a Consonno (LC), ex città dei divertimenti costruita dal Conte Mario Bagno nel 1968 con un grande progetto dove sorsero alberghi e ristoranti e che, a causa di una frana nel 1976, venne ben presto abbandonata e lasciata a un destino di incuria e rovina. Se intendete andarci per una visita fate ben attenzione agli orari di accesso sennò rimarrete chiusi dentro per 3 ore di fila come è successo a noi.
Here some pictures taken in Consonno (LC), former amusement city built by Count Mario Bagno in 1968 with an ambitious project where hotels and restaurants sprang up, and that, due to a landslide in 1976, was soon abandoned and left to a fate of neglect and disrepair. If you intend to go there for a visit pay attention to the access time, otherwise you will be locked in for three hours as happened to us.
Lomography Baby Fisheye
Oggi vi presento qualche foto fatta con la Lomography Baby Fisheye, prima di perderla… Non un gran perdita qualitativa sicuramente, infatti la Lomo in plastica funzionante con cartuccia 110 verrà ben presto rimpiazzata da una ben più nobile Rollei A110, un piccolo gioiellino sempre a cartuccia 110 ma con lenti Carl Zeiss e corpo in metallo. Ma ne parlerò meglio non appena arriverà e avrò modo di provarla. Fate riferimento alle didascalie per vedere dove sono state scattate le varie foto.
Let me show you some pictures taken with the Lomography Baby Fisheye, before it got lost … Not much a quality loss definitely, in fact the Lomo made of plastic and working with a cartridge 110 will be soon replaced by a far nobler Rollei A110, a small gem always working with a cartridge 110 but with Carl Zeiss lenses and metal body. But I’ll describe it better as soon as it arrives and I will have a chance to test it. Please check the caption to know the location of each photo.
